MSWA's City Beach respite is looking for our next Nursing superstar to join our team, providing outstanding services and care to our respite Clients.07th October, 2024Our City Beach Respite Accommodation offers a nurturing environment for individuals living with neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinson's, Huntington's, Motor Neurone Disease, Acquired Brain Injury, and Stroke.Convenient Location: Situated close to the beach and local amenities, our facility provides a welcoming 'home-away-from-home' atmosphere, fostering relaxation and peace for residents and their families.Friendly Staff: Staffed by a compassionate and friendly team, our accommodation ensures a warm and supportive atmosphere for all guests.Comfortable Facilities: Featuring a 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom house with communal lounges, dining areas, and an outdoor courtyard, our facility caters to the diverse needs of our guests.Respite Duration: Clients typically stay for one or two weeks, benefiting from the serene surroundings and attentive care provided.As the Neurological Nurse – Accommodation, you'll be instrumental in improving our Clients' lives, advocating for their rights to autonomy, dignity, and respect.ResponsibilitiesClient Assessment and Monitoring: Complete assessments and regularly monitor our residents, ensuring any changes are promptly addressed.Care Coordination: Facilitate referrals and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of residents' medical histories, treatment plans, and progress, submitting reports as required.Deliver Clinical Care: (e.g., wound and continence management) as well as medication management and administration.Support and Advocacy: Advocate for residents' rights to autonomy, dignity, and respect, providing emotional support and ensuring a compassionate care environment.Providing supervision, advice, and support: Ensuring our team of Care Supports Workers (CSWs) are supported.This is a permanent part-time role - minimum 60 hours per fortnight guaranteed - Weekend work available.RequirementsCurrent AHPRA registration as an EN or RN.A basic understanding of neurological conditions.NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).Current First Aid and CPR (we can help you there if not!).Current 'A' Class Driver's licence.Working with Children Check.BenefitsAs a not-for-profit organisation we are fortunate to be able to offer generous salary packaging options to all our employees.Currently up to $18,500 can be packaged to cover things like living expenses, mortgage payments, or car leasing – this means you pay less tax on your income!We also offer generous leave policies, discounts on major retailers and an opportunity to do (what we think is) challenging and rewarding work every day.But above all you will be a part of our purpose at MSWA to empower Western Australians living with neurological conditions to live their best life.Join UsIf you're prepared to join us in making a significant impact, apply now and let's discuss what life at MSWA looks like.For a confidential conversation, please email ******. #J-18808-Ljbffr
