The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for driving rapid revenue growth through impactful marketing initiatives across multiple businesses. This hands-on role covers all aspects of marketing, including Content Creation, Social Media, PPC, eCommerce, SEO, and website updates on Shopify and WordPress.
The ideal candidate will independently manage brand launches, write copy, and coordinate organic and paid marketing efforts. Reporting to Senior Management and working closely with the General Manager, this position ensures the group stays top-of-mind for customers.
As the sole marketer, the role offers autonomy to shape and execute strategies that drive engagement and business growth.
Key Accountabilities:
* Design, implement, and manage marketing and communication strategies for each business in the group.
* Take ownership of PPC campaigns, organic social media, and general marketing coordination, ensuring alignment with the group’s strategic goals.
* Manage website updates for both Shopify and WordPress platforms as needed.
* Set and monitor annual marketing budgets.
* Assist in creating and maintaining channel management plans.
* Create and manage the customer segmentation and communication strategy.
* Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports on performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Independently launch new social media campaigns, improve point-of-sale collateral, launch new products, and plan participation in events and activations.
* Develop brand launch programs for new products or services, managing both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
* Create, monitor and manage PPC campaigns, ensuring optimal performance and return on ad spend (ROAS).
* Consistently monitor, analyse, and evaluate product/brand marketing trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
* Develop and maintain partnerships and sponsorship opportunities with influencers and key industry bodies.
* Report regularly to Senior Management regarding growth in key metrics across all businesses in the group.
* Establish campaign performance benchmarks and provide reporting and insights that measure the delivery and performance of each campaign, making recommendations for future improvements.
* Regularly review and refine the customer journey for each business in the group to ensure it remains as efficient and effective as possible.
* Review and maximise the marketing investment for each business, ensuring the best possible return on advertising spend (ROAS).
* Implement systems and processes to communicate marketing campaigns effectively across departments within the organisation.
* Write engaging and targeted copy for a variety of platforms, including websites, email campaigns, social media, and print.
* Manage organic social media channels, ensuring consistent and engaging content.
You Should Have:
* At least 5 years of Marketing Management experience
* Experience working in a group of companies will be highly regarded
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience with Salesforce (MUST)
* Attention to detail with good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
* A passion for achieving business objectives
* An ability to build strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders
* Excellent data analysis skills
* A high level of computer literacy
