* Information technology skills at a basic level which includes the ability to navigate websites and utilise Microsoft Office software in addition to a capability to learn the use of internal offender management databases.
* Planning and organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures within the correctional environment.
* Problem solving skills with the ability to apply a range of problem solving strategies and show initiative in identifying and solving problems both independently and as a team member.

Qualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements:
* Must already be an accredited Custodial Correctional Officer and possess a current Certificate III in Correctional Practices.
* Certificate IV in Correctional Practice is a prerequisite for appointment to the role of Correctional Supervisor.
