About the role
This role is responsible for managing the Engineers Australia Excellence Awards, ensuring a high-quality experience for stakeholders while showcasing engineering excellence and recognizing outstanding achievements. Success depends on effective collaboration with key stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. More broadly, the Professional Development (PD) team oversees Awards and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through various events and educational formats for members and the wider engineering community.

In this role you will:
1. Build Relationships – Collaborate with team members and key stakeholders across Engineers Australia, including Marketing, Communications, Digital & Technology, Facilities, Business Growth, Policy & Advocacy, Divisions, Member Services, Finance, EEA, Office Bearers, volunteers, and members to foster strong partnerships.
2. Ensure Best Practice – Support award operations by coordinating service delivery standards, policies, processes, and procedures with team members, colleagues, office bearers, and volunteers.
3. Leverage Networks – Engage with office bearers and volunteers as needed to assist in planning and delivering awards and events.
4. Deliver Excellence – Ensure award events provide outstanding customer service and maintain accurate data for seamless operations.
5. Support Team Growth – Provide training and upskilling to new team members and collaborate with the broader Professional Development team as needed.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
1. Customer Service & Administration Expertise – Experience in customer service delivery, administration, and/or award or event processes and procedures.
2. Technical & Event Expertise – Proficiency in event delivery, event operations, and well-developed computing skills.
3. Strong Project Management – Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
4. Stakeholder & Relationship Building – Skilled in developing networks, establishing credibility, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including volunteers.
5. Results-Driven & Customer-Focused – Highly motivated, innovative, and achievement-oriented, with a strong ‘customer first’ mindset.
