Randstad has been given the opportunity to support one of our clients in the recruitment of a key global position within their Supply Chain PMO team, for a Outbound Logistics Project Manager to be based here in Victoria. Our client is a market leading multinational retailer, with exciting plans for further growth, and are targeting their APAC region as a key flag bearer as they continue to drive the business forwards over 2025. This newly created opportunity gives you the opportunity to work within the global PMO team, reporting into the Program Director and leading delivery across the APAC region, supporting China and EMEA primarily. The role will be hybrid in nature, with only 1-2 days travel into the client's site in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. You will be employed on an initial 12 month contract, with a view to extend in 12 month increments moving forwards, and offering a daily rate of somewhere between $600-$800 per day superannuation. Key objectives of this role/individual - Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and carriers, providing regular updates on project status and resolving issues as they arise. Work with global and regional teams to ensure consistency in the multi-carrier program in EMEA, APAC and China; sharing best practices and lessons learned Develop and enhance outbound logistics processes and carrier strategies through technology, automation, and data analytics. Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of multi-carrier logistics projects, primarily in APAC Support carrier performance post-implementation to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs). Identify and mitigate risks associated with multi-carrier logistics operations, including delays, capacity issues, and regulatory compliance challenges. Provide regular project updates to senior leadership, highlighting key metrics and any potential risks or deviations from plan Qualification and Experience: At least 5 years of Project or Program management experience Experience with 3rd party logistics organizations and project management Experience with Multicarrier Parcel Engine technology solutions would be hugely beneficial but not essential Experience with Transportation management solutions (Freight management solutions) – optional. Strong understanding of the region's logistics landscape, including regulatory requirements and carrier networks. Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) are preferred.
