Due to growth and promotions in our Automation division, we are looking to appoint a Night Shift Automation Technician.Working for one of our largest valued customers in the food and beverage manufacturing industry, you will be joining a team of 6 electricians and automation technicians based on this site as well as 30 in our wider Automation team who make an impact on our customers each day.Here is what a typical shift looks like:Start at 10:00pm and finish at 6:00am Monday to Friday. Occasionally working Sat/Sun 8-hour shift.Working as part of a maintenance team on shift with other electricians and fitters.Attending breakdowns. Common breakdowns include:Resetting and fault-finding ABB robots.Fault finding networked PLCs (mainly Siemens and Allen Bradley)Complex faults such as communications issues, VSD and servo issues, instrumentation faults.Working with equipment consisting of a wide range of new and old machinery including sorting machines, counting machines, extruders, coating machines, wrapping machines, case packers, palletisers and LGVs.Strong Applicants Will Have: 2+ years of industrial automation experience.Proven experience in Siemens and Allen Bradley programming & fault-finding.Experience in an electrical maintenance role, preferably manufacturing or similar environment.Experience in installation and fault-finding of instrumentation and variable speed drives (VSD's).Advantageous: Knowledge of safety controllers and other PLC systems.ABB robot fault finding experience (training will be provided if required).Experience working with SAP and other ERP and maintenance systems.Willingness to participate in regular rostered weekend shift coverage.Ideal Candidate: You will be motivated by:Evaluating Problems: you examine information thoroughly, document facts accordingly and can interpret data.Investigating Issues: you develop expertise, adopt practical approaches and provide valuable insights.Showing Resilience: you convey self-confidence, demonstrate composure and resolve conflicts or challenges as they arise.Processing Details: you follow procedures, meet timeframes and check through things accordingly.Structuring Tasks: you manage tasks, uphold standards and produce desired outputs.Giving Support: you understand people, value individuals and work appropriately in a team environment.About Your Work Life With Us: We aim to provide benefits that promote the overall wellbeing of our employees.
