Join a thriving, established, customer-focused company within the education sector. As the Instructional Designer, you will predominantly design and develop e-learning content. The position on offer is within an inclusive, dynamic environment where you will gain invaluable knowledge and experience. The role will be a part of the Learning and Leadership Development (L&LD) team who focus on professional learning and leadership development strategies for schools and office-based staff, approx 18000 staff.
The role is for an initial 3 month contract with potential to be extended.
In this role, you will:
o Design and develop interactive e-learning modules, microlearning assets, and blended learning programs.
o Create engaging multimedia elements including videos, animations, infographics, and interactive assessments.
o Collaborate with subject matter experts to transform complex content into accessible digital formats.
o Support and execute the end-to-end learning lifecycle, including learning needs assessment, curriculum design, defining learning pathways, concept development, learning delivery, and evaluation of learning.
o Apply your exceptional consulting and solution design skills to navigate the priorities of multiple stakeholders, making data-driven decisions that may challenge conventional practices.
o Proactively offer advice and recommendations for the broader team to ensure a smooth transition and solutions.
Experience required:
o 2+ years' experience in instructional design, including solution architecture, storyboarding, and content creation.
o In-depth knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design principles, UX design, and experience with learning technologies, including LMS and digital platforms to create effective learning solutions.
o Proven experience in Learning and Development in large, complex organisations undergoing digital transformation.
o Advanced skills in Articulate tools (Rise, Storyline) to create engaging and interactive learning content.
o Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles to create accessible materials.
o Exceptional communication skills, with experience collaborating effectively with subject matter experts.
o Ability to work well autonomously as well as within a team environment.
