To achieve best outcomes for patients, an EMDSO must be able to use assertive communication and problem-solving skills to help guide and determine the most appropriate pathway for the patient.Part-time employment is available and can be negotiated should you receive an offer for employment; however, you are required to work full-time for the first 22 (approx.) weeks of employment to complete the required training. At the end of this period, you will receive a Certificate III in Ambulance Communications (Call Taking) - HLT31015. This nationally accredited course is paid for by SA Ambulance Service (SAAS).The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time.
