About the Role Are you a driven sales leader with a passion for industrial and commercial building solutions? As the Industrial & Commercial Building Sales Manager for our Safety Steel Structures division, you'll lead sales efforts in design and construction services within the industrial and commercial sectors. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, fostering strong client relationships, and mentoring a high-performing sales team to exceed revenue targets.
Beyond sales leadership, you'll collaborate closely with our offshore manufacturing divisions to bolster local offerings and optimise material sourcing, enhance project efficiency, and strengthen industry partnerships. We're looking for a results-oriented professional with a deep understanding of the design and construction industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex, high-value sales processes. Key Responsibilities Create and execute comprehensive sales strategies for design and construction services tailored to the industrial and commercial markets. Conduct market research to identify trends, client needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales initiatives. Train and mentor a high-performing sales team focused on design and construct services. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment, providing ongoing coaching and support. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their unique requirements and providing tailored solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients throughout the design and construction process, ensuring their needs are met. Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation and proposal development to contract negotiation and project handover. Ensure timely follow-up on leads and proposals, facilitating a smooth transition from sales to project execution. Partner with design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure alignment between sales efforts and project deliverables. Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and participate in industry events to enhance brand visibility. Prepare and manage sales budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Analyse sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to meet targets. Lead negotiations with clients to secure contracts that meet both client needs and company profitability goals. Prepare and present proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value of services offered. Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within the design and construction industry, particularly in industrial and commercial sectors. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sales strategies that drive revenue growth. Strong understanding of design and construction processes, including project management principles. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficient in CRM software, Hubspot and Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with clients and attend industry events.
