This critical role will oversee our operational framework, encompassing logistics, supply chain, customer service, and compliance and will manage team members in these areas. The role will be pivotal in scaling Makedo’s operations while embedding environmentally sustainable practices and ensuring excellence in product delivery and customer experience. Below are the key responsibility areas for this role.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Demand Planning & Purchase Order Management: Collaborate across teams to inform demand planning, manage purchase orders, and leverage ERP systems to optimise stock levels and supplier relationships.Business Development & Growth: Drive scalability through improved systems, explore growth opportunities via partnerships and new markets, and implement efficiency-enhancing tools. Manage supplier relationships to enhance performance, compliance, and sustainability while supporting new product launches.ERP System Management & Integration: Optimise and integrate ERP systems across operations to improve efficiency, data flow, and scalability.Sustainability Leadership: Lead sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon footprint, achieve certifications, and embed sustainable practices in operations. Oversee budgets, pricing strategies, and margin analysis to maintain profitability and operational efficiency. Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensure business continuity, and maintain compliance with legal and contractual standards. Lead customer service efforts to deliver high satisfaction, align with marketing activities, and optimise support systems.Quality Assurance & Accreditation: Uphold quality standards, achieve industry accreditations, and continuously improve processes to maintain leadership.Team and People Management: Foster a collaborative and high-performing team through clear goals, mentoring, and cross-functional alignment.Enough about us. We hope that’s us!Our ideal candidate will have experience in:Supply Chain Management: Deep understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, manufacturing, and distribution, preferably in the consumer goods sector, especially toys or educational products.Sustainable Practices: Commitment to sustainability and experience in managing supply chains that prioritise environmentally friendly practices and materials.Vendor Management: Skills in sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with suppliers that align with Makedo's quality and ethical standards.Inventory Management: Experience in inventory management, ensuring product availability aligns with demand without excessive stockpiling or shortfalls in a global setting.Logistical Efficiency: Proficiency in optimising logistics and distribution to meet customer demand efficiently, including global shipping and multiple 3PLs.Team Collaboration: Ability to work closely with other departments, like product development and marketing, to align supply chain processes with product launches and promotions.Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage the supply chain team and collaborate across departments.
