Salary: $36.65 - $50.01 per hour + 25% casual loading - RN/RM1

Mount Gambier & Districts Health Service is currently seeking skilled nurses and midwives to join our Casual Pool. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a beautiful country location, where you’ll be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting a diverse range of inpatients and outpatients.
About the Role:As a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality, direct nursing and midwifery care to patients within our hospital and the surrounding communities. You will assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and coordinate services to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering person-centred care to patients and their families.
Assessing, planning, and coordinating care for inpatients and outpatients.
Providing health education, counselling, and rehabilitation programs aimed at improving patient outcomes.
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve comprehensive care for patients.
Participating in continuous professional development to enhance your nursing and midwifery skills.

What We’re Looking For:
Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse/Midwife with eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and holding or eligible to hold a current practising certificate.
Prior experience in nursing or midwifery practice, with a commitment to providing care in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
Strong communication skills, including problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced, rural healthcare setting.
A creative, innovative, and flexible approach to patient care and problem-solving.
