The Team Leader Maintenance and Works has oversight of community maintenance, kitchen and gardening activities to ensure safety and compliance for all staff, clients and visitors.
In addition, the role will develop and coordinate a rewarding Resident Works Program for clients to learn and develop life skills while in our care.
Work with Senior Management team to provide an enjoyable and rewarding Resident Works Program for clients in the Therapeutic Community.
Contribute specialised knowledge, skills and insights to innovate program design and strategies to ensure clients' needs are met.
Coordinate the Residents Works Program and provide relevant training as needed.
Leverage sector knowledge and expertise and act as a role model for the site.
Facilities Management including regular site checks, and arranging contractors as required.
Manage assets within the team including inventories, maintenance, and procurement to meet program-level objectives and needs.
Maintain schedule of routine property maintenance and reporting and rectifying any hazards identified.
Provide coaching and supervision to Chef & Gardening team members.
Ensure Maintenance and Resident Works Program meets Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and legislations to provide a safe environment for staff and residents.
What we're looking for Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Tradesperson/Maintenance Supervisor role.
Gardening/Farming or animal husbandry knowledge would be highly regarded.
Excellent knowledge of asset management, repairs and maintenance.
Knowledge of contractor management including site inductions, safety plan review and implementation.
Experience managing, supervising and leading a small team to achieve strategic and operational outcomes.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills both with an ability to communicate effectively to diverse group of people with complex needs with compassion.
Excellent time management skills with an ability to adapt and reprioritise as required based on the needs of the program and residents.
Strong planning, coaching and program implementation skills.
