Senior Service Now Developer, Justice and Attorney-General Department of Justice & Attorney General QLD – Brisbane QLD Full time, Contract, Part time, Casual/Temporary The Courts & Tribunals Digitisation Program (CTDP) is responsible for delivering a program of ICT projects in line with the DJAG ICT Strategy 2021-2026.Queensland Courts & Tribunals rely heavily upon technology to deliver existing services and plan to use technology to further drive strategic change in the way that services are delivered to the community.The outcome of these projects will streamline workflows, make better use of limited human resources, improve client experience, and enable the future move to a digitised and paper-lite court and tribunal system.As part of the Development team, the role of the Senior Service Now Developer will be to work closely with the operational subject matter experts and business analysts to determine functional and non-functional requirements that will enhance new and existing software solutions to meet current and emerging business requirements.Key Responsibilities You will primarily be responsible for the development of Service Now software applications and associated solutions and a key participant in the enhancement, delivery, and deployment of the Courts and Tribunals QTranscripts product.You are required to work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the final product integrates and functions as expected with interfacing applications.Develop and maintain end-to-end continuous integration and deployment solutions within a Service Now/Azure Dev Ops environment.Work on enhancements and implementation of product releases by collaborating with the operational teams and SMEs to design system and functional changes.Ensure Service Now solutions are developed and maintained in accordance with relevant standards and frameworks.Manage source code and iterative development of the Service Now applications.Collaborate with internal and external teams to produce application design and architecture artifacts.Develop and maintain technical specifications and as-built documentation for supported applications and solutions.Develop and maintain relevant testing products for existing and new functionality and automate where possible.Translate and interpret system requirements in the form of functional specifications and user stories into technical specifications for development.Identify areas of opportunity to reduce technical debt and support the improvement of new and existing applications and solutions.Serve as an expert on Service Now applications, providing support, guidance, and mentoring to other team members where appropriate.Provide technical leadership.Participate in continuous improvement of S&T activities and processes and contribute to the delivery of the CTDP work program as required.Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability This role requires a balance between strong technical skills, platform expertise, and the ability to work effectively with teams across an organization.You are expected to be a proactive problem solver and lead innovation in optimizing the Service Now platform.Demonstrated experience building and developing Service Now custom applications, managing the end-to-end development lifecycle, and the ability to deploy and promote development across environments.Experience working and integrating Service Now with other Software as a Service development platforms such as the Microsoft technology stack in a Dev Ops environment.Ability to manage Service Now instances, including user administration, security configuration, and system upgrades.Complete workload within established timeframes and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.Confident in creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring clarity and precision associated with developed solutions.Collaborates effectively with team members, exchanging ideas, information, and opinions to formulate software development solutions.Applications to remain current for 12 months Job Ad Reference: QLD/602657/24 #J-18808-Ljbffr
