We are on the hunt for a Mechanical Fitter to join our award-winning team in Mackay!
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will:
1. Perform maintenance, repair and recondition jobs on all equipment sold and serviced
2. Research and consult the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications
3. Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives
4. Research and use the correct and latest parts and service information systems to order parts, as well as a guide to correct disassembly/assembly details
5. · Take all reasonable steps to ensure that assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship assuring quality in the finished product

About You
A successful teammate will have:
12. Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (Diesel Fitting) or related discipline
13. Minimum 3 years experience in a technical role within the mining, mining services or heavy earth moving industries
14. Proven ability diagnose and repair basic electrical circuits and electronic controlling systems
15. Diagnostic skills to ensure a fault/issue is identified to its root cause before parts replacement
16. Competence to diagnose, repair and replace hydraulic systems and components, including in depth testing
17. Proven experience to achieve precision outcomes from tools and assembly of components
