The Production Manager will build a team that takes pride in producing a quality product that is delivered to site to meet and exceed customer expectations. The Production Manger will have responsibility for all operational activity, so it is essential that they are a strong communicator who has experience in man management.Key Accountabilities:Promotes and manages a health and safety culture across site. Ensuring all activities on site comply with H&S regulations and guidelines. Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to.Ensure all product produced on and leaving site meets the agreed quality standardsEnsure site is running at maximum efficiency and fully achieving production plansEnsure site is running in line with budget requirements and targetsWorking with all departments across the business to instil and develop a continuous improvement ethic that focuses on driving down cost and improving qualityMaintains a high level of employee motivation by working closely with all employees to develop a highly communicative team where employees are made fully aware of business performance and activities. Also ensure any issues or problems either personal or work related are supported and resolved.Lead and champion projects that deliver improvements to site performance and employee engagementCreate and present reports detailing site performance to all team members across all levels of the business structureLead and champion Root cause analysis projects to ensure any quality issues are resolved with a permanent fix put in place.Drive KPI’s into production using them to identify and improve production trends.Ensure material stocks are managed and used effectivelyMaintain Manufacturing compliance to standards including a clean, safe environment for all employeesKey Experiences:Proven experience as Leader/Manager or relevant role leading a team focussed on manual processesFamiliarity with company policies, legal guidelines, and Health & Safety regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood knowledge of IT systemsStrong background in Lean and continuous improvementProven experience of driving through successful improvement and change management projectsProven experience of root cause analysis and putting permanent fixes in place.Ability to interpret and understand KPI’s and dataDesirables Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:ILM level 3 in Leadership and ManagementCOSHH and risk assessment trainedPersonal Attributes:Leadership – strong, consistent, clear, inspire others, integrity, ability to drive through changeEmpowering Others – Delegation of trust, correct controls, feedback, communicate accountability and responsibilityAction orientated – Able to deal with problems in appropriate time framesDriven by results – Decisive, confident addressing problems and opportunities, challenging activities to improve performance, demonstrate willingness to challenge accepted methods and standardsEffective communication – Clear concise written and spoken, ability at all levels, customer, supplier and internalRecognition of a changing need and speed of response, rapid reaction to challengesHigh Standards – demonstrating a motivation to improve standards and thereby making a real difference, challenging inadequate solutionsIntegrity and trust – demonstrating a sense of commitment to openness, honesty, loyalty and high standards in undertaking the rolePeople management – demonstrating commitment to working and engaging constructively with internal and external stakeholders
