About the opportunity
The Senior Manager Recruitment and Workforce Strategy provides strategic leadership to a team of recruitment and membership specialists and is responsible for the management of recruitment (executive and non-executive), workforce planning and reporting, establishment maintenance, onboarding and offboarding and reporting.
The role reports to the Director of People & Development and works collaboratively with senior leaders across the organisation to maximise opportunities to actively develop and embed innovative talent acquisition and resourcing solutions.
The role drives the agency’s talent management practice and strategy, embeds effective diversity and inclusion strategy into our talent management and retention, leads a team to provide expert, timely and customer-centric advice to geographically dispersed stakeholders, identifies and reports on critical people metrics, drives strategic projects and ensures the NSW SES is compliant with its legislative obligations.
This role requires experience in a leadership role managing people and clients in an HR related function, experience in a public sector environment is beneficial, as well as an understanding of volunteer-based organisations.
The successful candidate will have:
·relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources and/or extensive experience in human resources in an operationally complex organisation
·be proficient in building and maintaining strategic relationships with stakeholders, internal and external
·an ability to drive continuous improvement and innovative customer centric service
·lead and coach the ongoing development and success of the recruitment and membership services
·have experience in the provision of reporting requirements and services pertaining to the employee life cycle
·experience in implementing change and managing large projects.
