We are seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Specialist in Anaesthetics, who will work as part of Medical Services across Tasmania's North West Region. Servicing a population of approximately 116,000, the Department of Health – North West (DoH), has major sites located approximately 50km apart. The Staff Specialist provides quality specialist anaesthesia services to the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) and Mersey Community Hospital (MCH). This position will be attractive to highly skilled and motivated medical professionals who view challenges as opportunities and are driven by a passion to improve healthcare in the complex world of modern health systems. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway; orIs a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality. * Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.
