The Logistics Specialist will be instrumental in managing and optimizing logistics support within the Tech Supply Warehouse. This includes overseeing warehousing, distribution, and inventory control, while ensuring high standards of customer-focused service and compliance with safety and procedural guidelines. Essential Functions: Logistics Coordination: Oversee and coordinate logistics tasks, including warehousing, distribution, receiving, and disposal of goods. Manage an integrated logistics team to support Tech Supply operations effectively. Information Flow: Facilitate effective communication between logistics personnel and management, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution. Customer Service: Deliver high-quality, customer-focused logistics services and advice in line with relevant policies and procedures. Inventory Management: Maintain and manage inventory control procedures within the warehouse. Directly handle inventory functions and collaborate with the Logistics Team Leader on projects to optimize stock levels. Stocktaking: Coordinate stocktaking activities, ensuring accurate inventory records and efficient material handling. Goods Receipts: Oversee the goods receipt process, resolving discrepancies promptly and liaising with procurement personnel as necessary. Health and Safety: Promote and ensure compliance with health and safety practices at the site and within the workplace. Additional Duties: Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications: Minimum Essential: Completion of Year 12 or equivalent experience in a relevant or related discipline. Minimum of 3 years' experience in logistics or warehousing. Strong communication skills and ability to engage with various stakeholders. Proficiency with MS Office. Valid Driver's Licence. Desirable: Forklift Licence. First Aid Certification. CPR Certification. White Card. Experience and Skills: Proven experience in a logistics or warehousing environment. Ability to manage inventory control and coordinate stocktaking activities. Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) and warehouse operations. Work Environment and Physical Demands: Ability to lift items up to 10kg independently. Frequent requirements to walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Occasional requirement to stand.
