In this Product Manager role, reporting to Head of FCO Detection Transformation you will join the Financial Crime team to design, delivery, and continuous improvement of financial crime detection products within the transformation program that is doubling down on keeping it simple.
Each day, you'll go above and beyond to: Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for financial crime detection capabilities within the transformation program and serve as the voice of the customer. Work closely with Line 1 business units, Line 2 risk and compliance teams, data, and engineering teams to identify needs and prioritize features. Ensure products comply with Australian regulatory requirements, including AUSTRAC and APRA guidelines. Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with transformation goals. Leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and emerging technologies to enhance detection models and system efficiency. Define and monitor KPIs to measure product effectiveness, ensuring alignment with risk management and customer obsession objectives. Partner with change management teams to drive adoption and training for new tools and systems across the bank. What you will bring: Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably within financial crime, risk management, or compliance domains. In-depth knowledge of AML/CTE detection frameworks and regulatory requirements in Australia. Experience delivering complex technology products or platforms within a large organization, ideally within the financial services sector. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of data and data driven decisions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and capable of influencing at a senior level. Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics is highly desirable.
