The role The Enterprise Records Manager is responsible for governance, operational and advisory support to the organisation with regards to Records Management across the organisation.
The main accountabilities of the role will include the following:
Policy and Process - providing an effective framework for all forms of records; building on, documenting and implementing governance and strategy arrangements to support data/information management and ensuring compliance with the Public Records Act 1973 and PRO(V) Standards.
People - providing training and support to staff in best practice management of records and management systems; providing leadership and subject matter expertise to other members of the Enterprise Data Team.
Systems - planning and providing key input into retention and disposal programs and activities; leading the review of the integrity of records and recommending their suitability for disclosure or disposal.
Governance and Advisory - advising on the management of physical and digital records and related assets; identifying and monitoring records management risks and developing strategies and plans to mitigate them.
Who are you?
The Enterprise Records Manager will have significant working knowledge and experience of records management (including data governance, knowledge management and relevant legislation) and integration across an organisation, backed by tertiary qualifications, preferably in information and/or records management.
A proven results-oriented and collaborative leader, the successful candidate will have demonstrable experience as a specialist in medium to large government organisation/s with comprehensive understanding and implementation of PRO(V) Standards and compliance.
Armed with exceptional communication skills and experience in implementing, operating and enhancing records management frameworks, policies and processes, as well as the technical implementation and management of records management applications, the candidate we are seeking will possess an ability to effortlessly build and nurture strong relationships across all levels of the business.
Experience in, and knowledge of the following will also strengthen your application:
Facilitating, communicating and educating internal stakeholders on best practices, including managing change.
Experience in liaison and negotiation with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
Appraising business needs for the development and implementation of classification schemes and the retention and disposal of records.
An understanding of metadata requirements.
An ability to support procurement or IT/business systems.
Facilitating audits and developing continuity or disaster recovery planning strategies.
