Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 (Nurse Pool)
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking motivated psychiatric registered nurses who possess a strong background in patient-centred care and enjoy working in a team environment. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain high levels of communication with patients, staff, and visitors.
The successful applicant will have unrestricted registration as a nurse through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and extensive experience in mental health. They will also have a strong understanding of risk assessment, mental state assessment, and care planning.
This is a direct patient care role involving consultation, liaison, and negotiation with patients, carers, family members, and other professionals. The primary goal is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts, and minimises service system barriers to the recovery process.
Working Conditions
Nurses will be employed within the Nurse Pool of Alfred Health and will work across various bed-based services, including acute psychiatric units and residential rehabilitation units. They may also provide psychiatric nursing to patients admitted to medical/surgical wards.
