Contract until June 2025 (potential to extend)Up to $900 per day inc superNSW Government ClientRecruiting ASAP for a Jan 2025 startKey ResponsibilitiesMonitor, identify, and assess cybersecurity risks, threats, and incidents, including breaches and potential intrusions, while alerting relevant agencies to take appropriate action.Analyse the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of cyber threats targeting the government to determine their origins, motives, and capabilities.Develop timely and actionable intelligence reports on emerging cyber trends, threats, and issues impacting NSW assets.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, as well as vendors, to monitor, detect, report, and share information on cyber vulnerabilities, incidents, and trends.Investigate and evaluate security breaches within your area of responsibility to ensure compliance with Whole-of-Government (WoG) cybersecurity policies and standards.Provide expert technical insights and knowledge to produce reports on current and emerging cybersecurity risks and trends.Offer recommendations to enhance cybersecurity practices across NSW Government agencies.Understand stakeholder needs, manage team portfolios, prioritise tasks, and meet established goals and deadlines effectively.Skills RequiredUnderstanding of the NSW government cyber security standards (essential)NSW government experience (essential)Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., Essential 8, NIST, ISO 27001), and tools.Experience with intrusion detection systems (IDS), firewalls, antivirus, and other security tools.Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.How to ApplyIf the above sounds like you please hit the APPLY button, or reach out at ******#J-18808-Ljbffr
