About the Job: Our Federal Government client negotiates technical standards and conditions with trading partners to maintain, improve or develop market access for the export of meat, fish, dairy, eggs, animal by-products and non-prescribed goods. Our client also provides chemical residue and microbiological expertise, laboratory oversight and manages the Codex contact point responsible for the coordination and development of policy and technical input into international food standards. The area you will be working in is responsible for a broad range of high-profile trade and market access issues. The successful candidate will primarily support activities and market access negotiations related to red meat and dairy. The Successful Candidate: Qualification in a veterinary field. Must be an Australian citizen. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to communicate complex and/or technical issues to a range of audiences. High attention to detail. Highly motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Strong ability to manage competing priorities within timeframes.
