About the Business Unit The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria. Technology Solutions and Data Security is delivering the Data and Digital Reform Agenda, which focuses on meeting the departments data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes. Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business to function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded project; and oversees the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex. About the Role The role of a Salesforce Developer is to: Contribute to the development of Salesforce solutions to enable DJCS in delivering critical services to the broader Victorian community. Provide technical, consulting and development support for Salesforce applications managed by the Centre of Excellence. Manage, optimise and configure multiple Salesforce applications as well as providing support, knowledge sharing and user training to end users. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience within a large ICT environment, of Software Development practice, leading to successful ICT improvement or transformation creating realised business value. Demonstrated experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, ideally with Public Sector Solutions (PSS). Experience in flows, Apex, validation rules, system automation, sharing & security settings, permissions management, formula fields and a strong grasp of the underlying platform behaviour. Lightning & LWC experience would be highly regarded. Experience working on Salesforce interfaces (Lightning and Classic), Apex and REST APIs, integrating third-party apps and Salesforce connectors (as required). Experience in data management and modelling and being able to manipulate large sets of data (MS Excel/JSON) with particular attention to accuracy and hygiene. Deep understanding of SDLC principles and the software development lifecycle, including Agile and DevOps release management practices and methodologies. Experience deploying to environments using change sets and GitLab Qualifications/Requirements. Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I Certification is essential. Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder is highly desirable. Relevant tertiary or post graduate qualifications in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology would be highly regarded.
