About the role The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who is accountable for practice at an advanced level, working collaboratively within the unit and with other members of the health care team including consumers/carers, other health professionals, general practitioners and other agencies (including non-Government agencies).
This role provides the delivery of clinical care and support specific to Primary Health Care within a Correctional or Detention setting.

The region and surrounding towns offer country living with city convenience which makes it an attractive location to live and work.
The new centre is just over 30mins drive from Toowoomba, 42mins from Ipswich or just over 1 hour from Brisbane City LVCC is being built in response to rising prisoner numbers.
When fully operational it will help reduce prisoner density across the system by adding 1536 beds to the state's capacity.
LVCC represents a new way of working for QCS.
LVCC will be a modern, purpose-built facility that will support best corrective services practices and enable a specific focus on health and rehabilitation.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge in the area of primary health care delivering expert nursing care in complex situations while providing support and direction to other team members.
Greater than two years clinical experience in corrections, primary health care, emergency or rural and remote health would be highly regarded.
Demonstrated ability to role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care and documentation to facilitate quality patient outcomes, in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service and professional standards.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate staff and manage delegated resources including prioritising needs and supporting day-to-day changes.
