Key Responsibilities: Financial Oversight: Lead daily and weekly financial operations, including control over ledger accounts, processing payments, and overseeing daily banking activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Support Strategic Insights: Provide timely profit and loss reporting each month and internal cost-monitoring initiatives that inform and support key business decisions. Financial Record Management: Prepare, collate, and maintain critical financial records for external tax agents, advisors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance and accurate record-keeping. Compliance and Payroll Management: Process payroll for designated departments, handle payroll liabilities, and ensure all transactions comply with industry regulations, workplace health and safety standards, and reporting obligations. Asset and Liability Oversight: Manage the fixed asset register, including insurance and depreciation schedules, ensuring accurate records and reporting. Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly financial statements to management, offering insights and analysis to support organizational goals. Tax Compliance: Oversee preparation and lodgement of monthly BAS, fuel tax credit calculations, and ATO reporting to maintain regulatory compliance. Qualifications and Skills: Professional Background: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with proven experience in a similar accounting role. Financial Expertise: Strong foundation in financial management, tax compliance, and reporting. Analytical and Detail-Oriented: High level of attention to detail and a strong analytical skill set.
