About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Locum Speech Therapist to join our clients team working within the community in Regional Southern New South Wales. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients within the wider community. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality speech therapy services to individuals of all ages, helping them overcome communication and swallowing disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
* Provide therapy and counseling to patients and their families to support their communication and swallowing abilities.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, and occupational therapists, to deliver holistic patient care.
* Participate in community outreach programs, including running workshops and support groups.
* Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with hospital policies.
* Contribute to the training and supervision of junior staff and speech therapy students.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A degree in Speech Pathology
* Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
* Availability to carry out a minimum of 12 week contract
* Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, treatment methods, and therapeutic techniques.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for community outreach activities.
* Proof of immunization
* NSW WWCC
* NDIS Workers Screening Check

* Hourly salary from $50 - $70 DOE + super
