Job DescriptionResponsibilities include:Familiarization with ASME / API Codes & Standards, DNV RulesProviding solutions for NDT inspection related problemsManaging and controlling company NDT processesTroubleshooting NDT-related issuesProviding internal training and technical guidance to QC InspectorsDeveloping, reviewing, and approving NDT procedures and techniques in compliance with project/code/regulatory requirementsReviewing NDT procedures prepared by NDT sub-contractors as per project specifications before client submissionMonitoring the performance of NDT personnel through qualification reviews, competency assessments, cross-checks, and report reviewsConducting risk assessments for NDT works and leading the risk assessment process in the yardPreparing and conducting Project Specific Inductions/workshops/toolbox talks on NDT requirementsCoordinating with NDT contractors to develop and update their individual competency matrixMaintaining and updating all NDT personnel qualification recordsKeeping a copy of all NDT contractors' certificatesReviewing NDT operator qualifications and submitting for project approvalEstablishing calibration and validation blocks for Ultrasonic TestingPerforming audits on NDT contractors to ensure compliance with project requirementsWitnessing and providing technical guidance on standard PAUT validationsProviding technical support for inspection auditing activities and effective audit programming for companywide NDT activitiesReviewing and commenting on standards, specifications, and inquiriesCollaborating with the team to ensure all regulatory, quality, and customer requirements are metVerifying NDT reports for project complianceEngaging in creative problem solving to suggest and develop new methods and ways of workingExhibiting sound communication skills to convey ideas and results to various stakeholders through written reports and presentationsUnderstanding clients' needs and applying "fit for purpose" solutionsJob RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Master's Degree in NDTMinimum 5 years' experience in a fabrication environment as NDT Level IIIASNT/PCN Level III qualification in UT/RT/MT/PT/CSWIP (PAUT) #J-18808-Ljbffr
