Reporting to the Metallurgist, assist the Metallurgical Assistant with routine and non-routine sample preparation and analysis as required by the Metallurgical Department and to support Operations through the provision of plant results in a safe, appropriate, professional and cost-effective manner.

This role is offered on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, and would require the incumbent to be residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie.

About the role:
1. Comply with the OHS and Environmental standards
2. Build your general understanding of the Processing Plant in the areas of crushing, grinding, leaching, elution, refining (electrowinning & smelting), tailings disposal and plant services.
3. Conduct sample preparation and sample analysis as directed by the Metallurgical Assistant ensuring safety, quality and production levels are always adhered to
4. Carry out the regular cleaning, preventative maintenance and housekeeping of laboratory equipment and areas.
5. Administration including the use of SAP and other systems
6. Ensure process plant monitoring instrumentation is calibrated and maintained
About you:
1. Certificate 3 or 4 in Laboratory Techniques is preferred
2. Previous experience in a mineral processing environment, or site laboratory or plant desirable
