About The Role
In this role as Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role as contact between AEMO, employees and customers, contributing to the overall financial governance and stewardship of AEMO by completing the accounting of transactional data.
This role provides varied exposure across finance transaction services and includes activities such as expense reimbursements, corporate credit cards, AR & AP support. It also provides support with continuous improvement through creating process efficiency and consistency. This position is a 6 month fixed term contract, based in our Melbourne office.
What you will be doing
* Processing expense Reimbursement and Corporate Credit Card Management.
* Accounts payable and accounts receivable duties.
* Providing subject matter expertise on internal processes.
* Identifying any process and efficiency improvements.
* Supporting the Team Lead on influencing continuous improvements to the month end processes.
What you will bring to the role
* A wealth of experience in a general accounts role involving accounts payable and accounts receivable.
* Accounting exposure with an understanding of journals and transactional impacts on reporting.
* Strong stakeholder focus with the ability to build internal and external relationships.
* Excellent data entry skills including speed and accuracy.
* Sun Accounting System and system implementation exposure highly regarded.
