Role responsibilities: The management and implementation of all electrical projects Leadership in electrical and automation engineering systems across the site and main support to site for troubleshooting and timely breakdown rectification using RCA & continuous improvement methodologies Prioritising and leading a safety first culture & ensuring Knaufs values are being followed within the maintenance team, contractors & across the site Compliance with site HSE regulations and the Responsibilities and Accountabilities Matrix for all trades and contractors. Develop and maintain a high level of housekeeping using 5S principles Ensuring that the electrical preventative maintenance program is being completed Maintain the electrical critical spare parts register Managing electrical risks on the site by ensuring that all electrical systems and installations adhere to the relevant regulations and standards Set up and management of PLC and Data System Candidate requirements: Electrical / Control and instrumentation engineer's degree (desired) or qualified electricians with relevant experience RPEQ Registration highly regarded A broad understanding and experience of an industrial manufacturing environment Expert knowledge of Automation systems (Allen Bradley PLC, Rockwell, SCADA) High level process improvement skills with analytical ability and strategic problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, process improvements & corrective actions) Strong project management skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams, capital, continuous improvement teams and strategic problem solving Experience in Asset Management techniques, systems and processes relative to automation Ability to motivate and inspire people at all levels to build a high achieving team.
