This activity focuses on developing and implementing strategic communication and engagement plans for the organisation.This position plays a key role in maintaining the positive reputation and brand of Desert Channels Queensland, ensuring that the organisation is engaging with the target audience at any given time.Strategic Context:To achieve the outcomes required by this role, you must be able to:Work collaboratively with the DCQ team and partners to capture and promote stories from the field in relation to projects, activities and issuesIdentify and produce timely articles, posts, photos and videos, and communications products to showcase DCQ NRM activities as they relate to programs, projects, issues, events and activitiesAssist with the production of marketing, promotions and fundraising materials as requiredPlan, design, develop and implement information and education campaigns on target natural resource management/ environmental issuesUse media and partner networks to leverage these stories to achieve greater audience reach and recognitionAssist with the design, development and implementation of DCQ's Corporate documentsCreate regular content for, and maintain DCQ's websites, e-newsletter and social media channels that encompasses the breadth of our work across the regionMaintain a professional and knowledge-sharing relationship with communications staff from other NRM organisationsComply with all DCQ policies and proceduresAttend DCQ meetings as requested, including presenting key outcomesSpecific Workplan Deliverables:The key activities and web-based publishing software applications, Microsoft Software and proficiency in graphic design and associated software is desirable.Licencing Requirements Queensland C Class Driver's Licence is
