Reporting to the DORS Maintenance Manager, you'll work across various operational areas, including workshops, service ducts, valve pits, seawater chambers, and the Pumphouse facility.
This role involves working in confined spaces, at heights, and in underground areas.
We have multiple Mechanical Fitter roles available at our Garden Island base.
Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance using computerised maintenance systems.
Ensure all critical dock equipment remains operational and available.
Assist in fault identification and breakdown reporting.
Support docking and undocking operations at the pumphouse facility.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and documentation.
Attend regular team meetings to drive operational efficiency.
Your Skills: Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.
Cert IV or relevant experience in Hydraulics.
Experience in facilities or equipment maintenance.
Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot faults.
General machining and welding skills.
Desirable: Confined space, forklift, working at heights, EWP, first aid certifications.
