The Safety Lead is accountable for supporting the development and implementation of Primary Connect’s Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SH&W) system and associated programs and initiatives. This position is instrumental in partnering with the Operational and SH&W team members to continually drive change and deliver Primary Connect’s strategic objectives.
The Safety Lead is responsible for the implementation of effective risk management processes to ensure SH&W risks are identified, assessed and controlled; provision of technical support and promote safe workplace behaviours.
What you’ll do:
10. Promote safety values and implement safety, health and environment policies and systems to embed safety into the culture and ways of working
11. Deliver timely, accurate, and quality assured safety performance data to business including supporting external benchmarking activities and in analysis of such data.
12. Implement, maintain and improve Safety, Wellbeing and Environment programs, systems, tools and training.
13. Conduct risk assessments and provide advice during change management processes.
14. Liaise with key stakeholders to support the investigation of incidents, determine root causes and corrective actions and share investigation learnings to prevent recurrence.
15. Conduct first line of defence audits and support close out of any gaps.
What you’ll bring:
16. Sound experience and working knowledge of safety legislation, codes of practice and standards
17. Incident Investigation experience – ICAM or equivalent
18. Demonstrated ability to deliver risk assessments and manage change in the delivery of SH&W initiatives
19. Strong stakeholder management skills, internally and externally
20. Consultative and innovative approach to deliver best practice outcomes
21. Implementation of risk management programs
