Our client, a well-established company with over 15 years of experience in commercial civil construction and bulk haulage in the Canberra region, is seeking a Site Foreman to oversee their civil and construction projects. This role is pivotal to maintaining the high standards the company is known for in project delivery and site management, with an expanding focus on commercial construction.As the Site Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising daily operations on-site, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring materials and resources are available to meet project milestones. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll play a key role in the successful completion of projects.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily site activities and coordinate with clients and superintendents to ensure project expectations are met.Supervise and support site staff, including Leading Hands, Subcontractors, and Labourers.Collaborate with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure timely delivery of plant and equipment to meet scheduled work requirements.Manage site compliance and reporting through Procore in collaboration with the HSEQ team.Coordinate with the commercial team to document variations and dayworks, as needed.Plan, schedule, and order equipment, personnel, and materials to meet project timelines.Source and supervise subcontractors as required for project needs.Ensure all personnel adhere to safety protocols, complete site paperwork (timesheets, sign-on/off documentation), and meet WHS compliance.Maintain daily site records through the Procore Daily Diary.Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Engineer to communicate changes in scope or program to the entire team.Partner with the HSEQ team to uphold safety and compliance standards across all sites.Conduct proactive risk management, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.Support the Project Manager in tracking project expenses, cost-coding invoices, and submitting necessary documentation to the QS team for payment processing.Represent the company as a brand ambassador on-site, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.Required Skills and Experience:At least 3 years of experience in a foreman or supervisory role, preferably in commercial civil construction.Relevant qualifications in a building-related discipline (Trade or Tertiary preferred).Certifications in Construction Induction, Asbestos Awareness, and Crystalline Silica.Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, including bulk earthworks, detailed excavation, flexible pavements, concrete work, and inground services.Proven track record of managing WHS and Quality Assurance standards.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a high level of proficiency in English.Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship.Additional Requirements:Successful completion of a pre-employment medical check will be required for this role.If you're an experienced Site Foreman with a background in civil and commercial construction and are looking to join a reputable company with a growing portfolio, we encourage you to apply.For a confidential discussion about your next career step, please call James Hoskins on 0474 197 ***At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
