The Food & Domestic Assistant at Yarrawonga Health is part of a team in the Food Service Department responsible for ensuring patients and residents receive high-quality meals and feeds in a timely and accurate manner.
The position involves cross-training across various roles within food services, including assisting with patient meal set-up, delivering patient meals to the bedside, collecting patient meal trays, and dish-washing. Please review the Position Description for full details on position requirements.

Staff are rotated across rosters.

**Selection Criteria**
Must be able to work all shifts, weekly, afternoon, and weekends including public holidays.
Computer skills at a basic level;
Understanding of confidentiality;
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills;
Ability to work with a wide variety of people;
Self-motivated with a high level of communication and organizational skills demonstrated ability to work alone.
Desirable: Previous experience in cleaning, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures.
Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.
