Role Overview
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team at North Ryde. As a Demand Planner, you will play a critical role in managing accurate and timely demand plans for our retail customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Forecast Monitoring & Analysis
* Continuously track daily and to-date forecast consumption for the current week.
* Monitor actual demand against the plan at SKU, customer, state, and weekly levels, identifying and addressing variances.
* Analyse historical data to provide actionable insights for order phasing and to identify abnormalities.
2. Inventory & Lifecycle Management
* Ensure new product development (NPD) launches and product deletions are executed as per plan.
* Optimize inventory levels to align with demand while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
3. IBP (Integrated Business Planning) Support
* Assist in the IBP process by conducting monthly financial analyses.
* Support the creation of PowerPoint presentations for IBP meetings.
* Perform analyses of product mix and Revenue Growth Management (RGM) metrics to generate insights.
* Prepare presentation materials to enable the Head of Planning to effectively lead discussions.
4. Collaboration & Communication
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives.
* Communicate key updates and insights on demand trends and inventory performance to stakeholders.
5. Process Improvement
* Identify and implement best practices in demand planning to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
* Leverage demand planning tools and systems to improve forecasting, replenishment, and analysis processes.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in Demand Planning or Supply Chain roles.
* Ability to process and analyse multiple data streams to support quick decision-making.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to manage diverse stakeholders in a complex environment.
* Proven ability to deliver results under high-pressure situations.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
* Experience with forecast tools and software, preferably within FMCG companies, is highly advantageous.
