A full-time role for CNC Machinist or Precision Machining Specialist to produce high-precision components for a leading engineering firm in Melbourne's northern suburbs
* Requires: 5 years’ experience in CNC machining, particularly with Mill-Turn Lathe applications
* Salary guide: Depending on experience
* Location: Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria
Your normal day will involve:
* Reviewing job sheets and engineering drawings to understand specifications
* Setting up and operating Mill-Turn Lathe machines, with adjustments as required
* Manufacturing high-precision parts, conducting quality checks, and monitoring production
* Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting
* Collaborating with the engineering team to optimize production and maintain efficiency
You will need:
* Proficiency in programming and operating high-precision CNC equipment (e.g., Okuma CNCs)
* Strong understanding of Lean production methodologies and quality control principles
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
* Proactive problem-solving skills, strong communication, and a positive attitude
