As they continue to grow, they are looking for a proactive Safety Coordinator to join their team.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enhancing safety protocols across roadworks projects. This role involves regular on-site inspections, conducting safety training, and working with project teams to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Experience with roadworks safety standards is highly valued, as you’ll play a central role in maintaining safe practices in this high-paced environment.
DUTIES.
* Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures tailored to roadworks and infrastructure projects.
* Perform regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
* Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to all site personnel.
* Collaborate with site managers and project teams to proactively address any safety concerns.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
* Proven experience in a safety role within the civil construction industry, with a focus on roadworks highly advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices related to roadworks.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and influence site teams on safety matters.
* Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or an equivalent qualification.
* Detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving.
