Job Title: IT Release Manager (Contract) Location: Melbourne (Hybrid) Contract Length: 4 Months Start Date: ASAP Daily Rate: $700–$740 per day (inclusive of super) About the Role We're looking for an experienced IT Release Manager to join a delivery-driven team within an enterprise environment .
This is a 4-month contract where you'll lead and manage the end-to-end release lifecycle—ensuring smooth, coordinated delivery of software and platform changes across multiple environments.
You'll be hands-on in planning, coordinating, and executing releases while working closely with technical, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage release activities across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
Ensure alignment with change and release management frameworks, including risk assessments and rollback planning.
Facilitate release planning sessions, go/no-go meetings, and post-implementation reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track dependencies and resolve conflicts across multiple delivery streams.
Monitor and manage non-prod environments, ensuring availability and readiness for each release phase.
Provide clear reporting and release visibility to stakeholders across the business.
What You'll Bring Proven experience as an IT Release Manager within large, complex organisations.
Strong understanding of release governance, ITIL/Change Management, and enterprise-level deployment processes.
Hands-on experience in Azure-based environments, with solid cloud platform awareness.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow).
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both technical and business-facing.
Experience managing releases in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
Nice to Have Experience with CRM systems or customer portals .
Prior experience in regulated sectors such as finance, utilities, or government.
Exposure to automation within Azure DevOps or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) environments.
