At Fresh Chulo, we are passionate about sharing the rich culinary heritage of Nepal and India with our guests. With a team of skilled chefs, we carefully craft each dish to showcase the traditional recipes passed down through generations.
We are currently actively looking for an experienced Chef to join our Glandore team in a full time role working 38 hours a week.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in all kitchen operations, from menu planning to team management, ensuring exceptional food quality and a cohesive working environment.
Duties/Responsibilities include:
* Develop menus and manage food procurement while assessing expenses related to food and labour.
* Execute food preparation, seasoning, and cooking with precision, ensuring quality from start to finish.
* Preparing different food according to the customer requirement
* Provide guidance on cooking methods and demonstrate culinary techniques to the team.
* Oversee kitchen activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
* Direct and delegate tasks within the food preparation process, maintaining high standards of quality and timely service.
* Train staff in menu item preparation and cooking, while innovating new recipes to enhance the menu.
* Manage inventory and place orders for replenishment, coordinating staff activities as needed.
* Stay updated on industry trends, soliciting feedback to improve performance and offerings.
* Collaborate effectively with kitchen and management teams, participating in group training initiatives for teamwork and personal development.
* Fulfill additional duties as assigned, aligned with your skills and qualifications.
Applicants must hold a AQF associate degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent, as well as have at least 2 years' previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced cafe or restaurant environment.

A salary between $74,000 - $76,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
