The primary purpose of the role is to maintain electrical equipment and keep equipment running efficiently and cost-effectively. Maintaining stock of electrical goods to fulfill the role and sourcing components as required.Your key responsibilities will be to:Maintain the Safety requirements of the siteEnsure Safety Lockouts are performed correctlyTraining and coaching staff membersEnsure Safety and control measures are maintainedDiagnose faultsOrganise installation workLiaise with onsite contractorsWork within the budgetManage Installs, tests, commissions machineryDiagnose, maintain and repair electrical and electronic equipment, networks and systemsRead drawings, electrical diagrams and specifications to determine job requirements plans, measures and lays out installation reference pointsSelect, cut and connect wire and cable to terminals and connectors; use electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults; repair or replace faulty wiring and defective partsPosition and install electrical switchboardsConnect electrical systems and equipment to power suppliesTest continuity of circuit to ensure safety and electrical characteristics such as voltage, resistance and phase angleInstall, test and adjust electric and mechanical parts of equipmentCommunicate with Professional Engineers or Architects on the positioning of electrical systemsSourcing of componentsLiaising with suppliers to obtain the best quality, service and costLiaise with production planning for breakdowns/maintenanceQuality department in relation to vision systems and machine performanceMaintenance department to achieve harmonious rapid repairs and upgradesYour skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:A seasoned industrial electrical specialist with over 10 years of experience within the Plastics and manufacturing industries, specializing in advanced blow & injection moulding machinery maintenance and repair in a production-critical environment.Technical hands-on ability in factory automation solutions with the application know-how necessary to create and maintain special-purpose machinery, production control, and software design through to full control system retrofits and plant-wide project management.Specializes and excels in advanced products including machine vision inspection systems, PLC/HMI programming, robotic programming, and control system networking.QualificationsLicensed Electrical tradespersonDiploma of Project ManagementAdvanced Omron Vision SystemsAdvanced PLC programming certificateMachinery risk assessment and design certificate AS4024Certificate in Industrial HydraulicsPlastic Injection moulding technician and Operations CertificateAdditional InformationAbout usOur vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse, and recycling solutions.
