What are you going to do
The Environment Approvals Advisor will be responsible for writing and submitting mining proposals to government agencies, as well as obtaining necessary environmental approvals for mining activities. This role will also require the Advisor to provide support for Part IV approvals as needed.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for success in this role.
The Environment Approvals Advisor will need to be able to adapt to frequently changing deliverables and scopes of work. The role will initially be full-time in the office, but may offer hybrid working hours beyond that.
Essential skills and knowledge
Requirements:
1. 2-5 years of experience working in the mining sector is highly desirable
2. A degree in environmental science or a related field
3. Mining approvals experience within Australia is a must-have for this role
4. A Class C manual driving licence
5. Experience with GIS software
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work well in a team and independently
8. Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards
9. Experience in incident investigations
10. You must have current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role
