Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of global aerial firefighting company, Coulson Aviation, and supports Australian States and Emergency Service Organizations with the provision of aircraft and experienced team members. Coulson Aviation operates across the world with a fleet of large aerial firefighting assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Coulson Aviation Australia operate and manage New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft in all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems and management, and operating personnel. Our teams perform aerial firefighting missions, transport flights, intelligence and scanning missions, disaster mitigation, search and rescue operations, and related activities. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: We are currently recruiting for a qualified Head of Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance Control (HAAMC) to be part of our team. Reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance (DOM), the HAAMC has the overall responsibility for ensuring that maintenance activities are in compliance with airworthiness standards, in accordance with regulatory standards, and within Coulson Australia's established best practices. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor the effectiveness of Coulson Australia maintenance and reliability programs. Ensure airworthiness compliance. Forecast, plan and oversee maintenance activities are executed in accordance with the Maintenance Manual. Ensure arrangements are in place for the subscription to all documents that are required for the maintenance of Coulson aircraft and Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA) such as ADs, SBs, SLs, and amendments to manufacturer maintenance manuals. Ensure adequate resources are provided for the MC to maintain an appropriate Technical Library relevant to the requirements of Coulson aircraft. Generate and issue work packages and relevant maintenance documentation to engineers as required. Oversee/work with aircraft maintenance design organizations to manage and implement modification and repair orders. Maintain and/or oversee the accuracy of AMO technical records. Maintain and/or oversee aircraft logbooks and maintenance-controlled data. Work closely with the Chief Engineer to establish and execute work plans. Assist with investigations. Comply with and promote safe work initiatives. Be actively committed to continuous improvement initiatives. All other required activities as set out by CASA legislation as it relates to the HAAMC role. REQUIREMENTS: Current CASA Aircraft Engineer license with B1 category. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the Airworthiness Management of aircraft. Comprehensive knowledge of the regulations and standards applicable to airworthiness of aircraft authorized to operate under the AOC. Strong CASA Regulatory knowledge. Clear understanding of aircraft airworthiness and maintenance control as it relates to aircraft systems. Experience interpreting maintenance data, maintenance programs, and instructions for continuing airworthiness. Aircraft Maintenance Management Organization functional and practical knowledge.
