We are seeking the services of a General Practitioner – Visiting Medical Officer for Cobar Health Service. The GP VMO will provide contemporary comprehensive service for optimal patient outcomes to achieve safe clinical practice.

Where you'll be working
The recently developed Cobar Multipurpose (MPS) provides 24-hour emergency care, acute and sub-acute/non-acute inpatient services including rehabilitation, palliative care, outpatient services, a range of primary and community health services and renal dialysis.
The redevelopment was completed in February 2020 and includes a brand new health service, co-located with the existing residential aged care service. Service upgrades include: Inpatient services, Emergency services, Community Health services, Staff accommodation, and additional ten residential aged care rooms and refurbishment of the aged care service.
7. Unconditional General and/or Specialist Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
8. Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and/or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and/or Vocational Recognition as a General Practitioner.
9. Minimum three (3) years post graduate clinical experience. Previous experience in Emergency Medicine, General Practice, Adult Internal Medicine, Paediatrics or Rural Medicine an advantage.
10. Sound knowledge of and commitment to clinical quality and patient safety, work health and safety, working within NSW Health Policy and current clinical practice guidelines.
11. Knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches in assessment and management of the broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Competence in performing the range of procedures commonly undertaken in a rural emergency department.
12. An understanding of patient centred care and demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team including demonstration of NSW Health CORE values in delivering safe and high quality care.
