SRG requires the services of an experienced Safety and Training Coordinator at our Whyalla SA operations. This position is DIDO on a 4/3 roster.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing support to management and employees
2. Ensuring best practice principles are adhered to
3. Risk assessments and accident investigations
4. Implementing and monitoring OHS Management Systems
5. Site based Training and Assessing
6. Ensuring all site training personnel files comply with SRG standards
7. Developing SWP’s and assessments in conjunction with management
8. Development of site based personnel skills
The successful applicant will ideally have:
1. Cert IV in Training and Assessing
2. Cert IV in Work Health and Safety
3. Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
4. Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on team work
5. A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment
6. Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
7. Hold a current drivers licence
8. Must have basic computer skills
9. Experience with Epiroc and Sandvik drill rigs
