About the role
This position is responsible for the comprehensive oversight and strategic administration of the Sydney Health Care Interpreter Service (SHCIS) and its Service Centre, encompassing direct management of the associated staff engaged in call center operations.
The Operations Manager assumes responsibility for reporting functions, human resource management, and handling complaints specifically tied to the Service Centre or bookings. Active involvement in both strategic and operational planning for SHCIS is a key aspect of the role. Moreover, the Operations Manager will guide the long-term strategic trajectory of the service, steering activities such as service planning, development, and promotion. Additionally, the Operations Manager will play a crucial role in contributing to the formulation and execution of the strategic plan for SHCIS and SLHD Population Health.

1. Relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant management experience and current NSW Driver's License is highly desirable (P2 Licence acceptable).
2. Demonstrated experience in call centre processes and management, including human resource issues, recruitment and performance management.
3. Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to accurately interpret complex information and to convey findings effectively and efficiently for a range of audiences.

About working for SLHD
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course).
