Bis is hiring a Maintenance Planner for our Karara operation. In this role, you'll oversee the workshop crew and implement a preventative maintenance schedule to keep operations running smoothly. This position is based at the Karara site on an 8/6 FIFO roster, reporting to the Site Manager. We’re seeking reliable team players who prioritise safety, take pride in their work, and contribute to team success. Key Responsibilities Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance using the CMMS. Prepare work packages for routine maintenance tasks. Manage work orders, asset history, and parts inventory in the CMMS. Obtain parts quotes, raise requisitions, and maintain site registers. Coordinate daily and weekly planning meetings for maintenance and shutdowns. Create schedules and Gantt charts for planned shutdowns and manage all related activities. Record and report equipment availability, downtime, and performance. Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders for repairs and services. Provide technical support and train employees on using the CMMS. About You We’re looking for candidates with: Extensive experience in fixed plant repair and maintenance, ideally conveyor systems. Strong mechanical knowledge of fixed plant equipment. Proven ability to manage teams in a maintenance environment. Experience using a CMMS (e.g., JD Edwards is a bonus). Solid understanding of WH&S regulations and the ability to minimise equipment downtime. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety and teamwork. Why Bis?
