Principal Human Resources Consultant - Business Partnering, Human ResourcesEducation (Organisation site)Human Resources Branch - People, Information and Communication Services DivisionWe are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated HR professional to join the HR Business Partnering team to assist in the delivery of HR services to Norfolk Island Central School (NICS).

Our vision is one of equity and excellence in a progressive, high performing education system that realizes the potential of every student.About the role :As the Principal Human Resources Consultant, you will :Provide expert advice to the regional management team regarding the delivery of human resource management services including workforce management strategies, recruitment and selection, industrial relations, organizational health services, change management strategies, and school workforce management issues.Manage a team of regional staff to provide human resource services in the areas of workforce planning, recruitment and placement, labor budget control, industrial relations, and organizational health services.Responsibilities include :Monitor, plan and lead work and / or project teams dedicated to assisting schools in achieving organizational goals through improved use of resources and human resource management practices.Contribute to change and relational management processes in the region.Commission or conduct reviews of human resource services programs and functions.Develop creative solutions to assist schools with workforce plans that support their core business and meet the changing needs of students and the community.Assist schools in the development of workforce plans, structures, and processes that address workplace health and safety.Identify and address emerging high-level human resource management policy issues that support departmental strategic objectives and priorities.Develop and support local consultancies across the region to assist in building school and community capacity.Refer staff for employee counseling and other employee support services.Case manage employees with medical concerns including rehabilitation and return to work programs.Support and advise schools in relation to performance management, complaints, and grievance investigations.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.To Apply :Attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant work history).Attach a 2-page response to the How you may be assessed section of the attached role description.We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.Applications from recruitment agencies will not be accepted.When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.Salary rate shown is reflective of full-time (1.0 FTE).We are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.
