They have a number of farms and agricultural assets in Australia, operating under RRG Australia.A newly created role exists for a suitably experienced Commercial Manager to join the team on a full-time permanent basis.The RoleReporting to the CEO, but working in close partnership with Farm Managers, the Operations Manager, and the Financial Controller, you’ll be responsible for:Driving commercial strategy & optimising the profitability of the businessManaging and monitoring the performance of all commercial arrangements including the cost of labour, farm inputs, energy & development worksPartnering with leadership and management to assess and monitor the financial performance of the farmsManaging relationships with key stakeholders - External: customers, suppliers, contractors. Internal: finance team, farm teamsTaking a lead role in solving commercial issues as and when they arise – contractual matters, supplier & contractor matters, disputes & performance issuesTaking a lead role in negotiating and advising on the terms of commercial contractsMaintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of all key contractsEnsuring contracts remain financially viable and delivered on budgetWorking with the Marketing Manager to optimise revenue & opportunitiesLiaising with legal advisors in regard to disputes & other matters as requiredEstablishment and ownership of the commercial risk management frameworkEnsuring compliance with relevant laws and regulationsContract administration and commercial reporting as requiredAbout YouStrong commercial and financial acumen combined with leadership capabilitiesAdvanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilitiesAbility to identify issues and areas of improvement and come up with pragmatic, future-focused solutionsStrong relationship building skills and the ability to quickly build credibility and rapport at all levels of the organisationExposure to and a conceptual understanding of contract law and pricing strategies is advantageousBackground in agriculture, FMCG, wine, or a related industry will be highly regarded but is not essentialIn ReturnCompetitive remuneration package (based on experience) + vehicleHands-on position where you’ll be based in Stirling, SA with travel out to various farmsInteresting and rare opportunity to influence commercial strategyGrowing, successful business with international investmentClose-knit, supportive, cohesive team environmentNext StepsIf you’re interested in the position available, please submit your CV and cover letter using the relevant link.
